Rules of Conduct for Riding on School Buses
- The bus driver may assign seats a student a seat at any time
- Be courteous to the bus driver and other passengers
- After entering the bus go directly to a seat and remain seated
- The use of abusive or obscene language is forbidden at all times
- Do not eat or drink on the bus; keep the bus clean
- Do not push, roughhouse, throw objects or fight on the bus
- Remain seated until the bus reaches its destination and comes to a complete stop
- No smoking
- Keep your hands and head inside the bus
- Do not destroy property
- For your own safety, do not distract the driver through misbehavior
- Hold books, coats and all other objects in lap
- Talk in normal voice
- Leave the bus in a single file
- Keep all parts of the body and other objects in the bus
- Student should not tamper with any of the safety devices
- Be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes early, and stand a safe distance from the bus
- Student shall not shout or make gestures toward anyone outside the bus
