English
4 semesters of English A
4 semesters of English B
Total of 8 semesters, two English
classes must be taken each year.
Warning:
Remedial English classes such as Fundamental English or Special
Education may not count for post-secondary purposes (i.e. college or
applied tech. entrance, NCAA eligibility, etc.).
Warning:
English or Reading tutoring classes do not count as English credit
for graduation or post secondary purposes. They are test tutoring
courses. They carry only elective credit!
Speech
1 semester
Mathematics
6 semesters- 2 semesters of Geometry must be passed,
and students must take 2 semesters of math their last year of high
school.
Warning Math
below Algebra 1 may not count for post-secondary purposes (i.e.
college or applied tech., NCAA eligibility, etc.).

or post-secondary purposes. They are test tutoring courses. They

Science
6 credits- 4 of which must be lab
science. At GHS all regular sciences are lab sciences.

Humanities
2 semesters- Only foreign
language, World History, Music Appreciation, Guitar, Choir, Band,
and Art.

Standards
2 semesters- at least one credit
in two of the following areas:
Physical Education,
Vocational-Technical, Family and Consumer Science, Fine and
Performing Arts, *Foreign Language (* Only if the Humanities
requirement is met by other means, academic Humanities cannot double
count).

Senior
Project
A senior project
that includes both an oral presentation and written report are
required to graduate.
College
Entrance Exam
Every student
must take either the ACT, SAT or Compass exam by the end of their 11th
grade year.
ISAT
To meet
graduation requirements, students must earn proficient or advanced
scores on the Idaho Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) at the 10th
grade level or beyond.
They must earn
proficient scores in the Reading, Math, Language Usage, and Science
Content Areas.
